Tuesday Topics - Hometown Activities

Good Morning ladies - hope your day is great so far! Today I'm linking up with Lauren from Life. Love. Lauren for Tuesday Topics. I'm excited about today's topic because I think there are so many fun things to do around Indy and sometimes people get the impression there isn't much to do here. So I'm here to tell you otherwise! The topic is 5 Activities in your hometown, here's my list...

#1 - Sun King Brewery

Sun King is a local beer (that is delicious!) and they have awesome tours and tastings throughout the week and weekend. Along with tours, they also host bands and fun outdoor events!

#2 - Indianapolis City Market

The Indy City Market has so much stuff to offer - all year round farmers market, local restaurants, craft fairs, outdoor bands in the summer, and so much more! If you were coming to Indy for a visit, I would definitely suggest heading downtown and spending some time here!

#3 - Indie Arts & Vintage Marketplace

This vintage art festival is amazing - it's a select group of vendors with vintage and antique items for sale. The market is usually held outdoors, but November thru March it's held inside. I have seen some amazing items at this event...

#4 - Indianapolis Museums

There are so many cool museums to visit in town, here are just a few - Indianapolis Museum of Art, Indianapolis Children's Museum, Eiteljorg Museum, Indiana State Museum, etc...

#5 - Stadiums

We have a ton of stadiums being a big sports city - Lucas Oil Stadium - the Colts play here and this is also where SuperBowl 46 was held. Conseco Fieldhouse - the Pacers play here and it's also home to a ton of concerts. Hinkle Fieldhouse is where Butler plays basketball. Indianapolis Motor Speedway - where the Indianapolis 500 is held every year!

I hope this gave you some fun ideas of things to do around Indy if you are ever in town - and be sure to stop by Lauren's blog to read about more local attractions!

  4. I love Indy! I've been there twice now, once for a weekend getaway years ago and I remember going to some football coaches' restaurant in the city but for the life of me I cannot remember the name of the restaurant...but it had really good food. I also last visited Indy for the Brickyard 400 a few years go - gotta love Nascar!

    Stopping by from Tuesday topics!
